About ‘Mother Nature – A Satire On Gender Inequality’

5 girls are genitally mutilated every minute worldwide. Over two-thirds of the world’s poorest people are females. Domestic violence is a global pandemic and yet also one of the most under-reported offences. There are more than three billion females in the world, all mothers in their own right. Unlike in many comic strips, this one doesn’t have any lead characters; the main actors are women illustrated from different walks of life, going through the vices the world imposes on them every day. The purpose of Mother Nature is not to offend women but to raise people’s awareness about the rampant gender inequality prevalent in most societies. Global gender inequality is ultimately based on chauvinism therefore such a trait must be exposed to end deep-seated chauvinistic mentalities evident in many parts of the world. If everybody sees and treats women as equals, the real Mother Nature can become less anxious about planet Earth and gender equality can truly be achieved.
